United marks the vibrant debut of French indie pop band Phoenix, blending electronic grooves with infectious rock rhythms. Released by Parlophone, this 2000 album set the stage for the band's signature sound, featuring acclaimed singles like “Too Young,” “If I Ever Feel Better,” and “Party Time.” Critics praised its sunny melodies and genre-blurring style that hinted at the exciting direction Phoenix would take in later years. This edition of United includes a printed inner sleeve, making it an appealing find for both newcomers and longtime fans. The album’s energetic blend of upbeat hooks and stylish arrangements continues to resonate, standing out as a key moment in early 2000s alternative music history.
