Debut album from Phoenix gets a repress. United was originally released in 2000 and showcased the Frenchmen from Versailles' knack for writing engaging and catchy pop over a surpri singly wide range of styles. Of course, the catchy disco-tinged "Too Young" and "If I Ever Feel Better" were the big singles from the album, the former being used on the Lost In Translation soundtrack, the latter a blueprint for future hits. Other highlights include the rocking "Party Time," the funky AM groove of "On Fire," the mellow moments of "Embuscade," and soft jazz heat of "Definitive Breaks."
