Hytronik Daylight Sensor Photocell DS05 for LED Light Fixtures The Daylight Sensor Photocell DS05 is designed to provide automatic on/off control for LED light fittings based on th e level of natural daylight. It is ideal for new lighting installations and retrofit projects where the light should switch on only when natural light is not sufficient. Using advanced photocell technology, this Daylight Sensor Photocell can be installed inside the light fixture and operate from behind the diffuser or fixture cover. No external hole or drilling is required for daylight detection, making it a clean and practical solution for modern LED luminaires. The DS05 Daylight Sensor Photocell helps reduce unnecessary energy consumption by switching the connected light off when the natural daylight level is above the selected threshold. When daylight falls below the preset level, the light automatically switches on. Photocell Advance Daylight Detection Unlike basic photocells, the Hytronik Photocell Advance technology is designed to differentiate natural daylight from the artificial light produced inside the LED fitting. This allows the sensor to work from behind the fixture cover or diffuser while ignoring the internal LED light and responding to natural light outside the fitting. This makes the Daylight Sensor Photocell suitable for enclosed LED luminaires, bulkheads, ceiling lights, corridor lighting and commercial fittings where a neat internal installation is preferred. Adjustable Lux Level by DIP Switch The daylight threshold can be adjusted using the built-in DIP switches, allowing the installer to set the lux level according to the real application environment. Available daylight threshold settings include: 2 lux 10 lux 30 lux 50 lux 100 lux 300 lux 500 lux Disabled When the daylight threshold is set to disabled, the light will not switch off based on daylight level. When a lux threshold is selected, the light remains off if ambient daylight is sufficient and automatically switches on when natural light is below the selected level.
