This exceptional slipper orchid hybrid is a cross between Phrag.kovachii and Phrag. Saint Ouen, showcasing the artistry of orchid breeding and masterfully combining distinctive characteristics that make it a prized specimen for discerning orchid collectors and enthusiasts. Light: Prefers moderate, indirect light. Avoid direct sun, especially during the midday hours, as this can easily scorch the leaves. Temperature: Thrives in intermediate temperatures. Ideal daytime temperatures should range between 18-24°C (65-75°F), with a slight drop at night to 13-18°C (55-65°F). Humidity: Requires high humidity, ideally between 60-80%. Excellent air circulation is still essential to prevent fungal issues, especially in humid conditions. Watering: This hybrid demands consistent moisture. Proper care involves using well-draining growing media, maintaining consistent soil moisture. The potting medium should never be allowed to dry out completely. Additional Notes The flowers of the Phrag. Haley Decker are known for their round shape and intense colors that range from hot pink to red and purple. This hybrid inherits the large size and robust form of its parent, Phragmipedium kovachii, with a wider petal and a prominent dorsal sepal.
