Prep & Application Preparation Lacquer Glazes offer versatile application, primarily with a brush or roller, demanding attention to detail for optimal outcomes. When brushing, use a high-quality glazing brush. For mixing colours into the glaze, Mixol universal tinters are recommended. These are fully compatible and will not affect drying times, provided they are not used in excess. Mixol remains a true universal tint with no siccative value, meaning it contains no drying agents and therefore stays “wet” within the medium, allowing extended open time and smooth blending. Artists’ acrylics may also be used for colouration; however, they possess a natural siccative value, which will accelerate the drying process. Both options offer flexibility in tone and hue, though Mixol is preferred when longer working time and subtle modulation are required. Application The glazes are formulated for layering over HV’ART Advanced Decorative Canvas, facilitating cohesive, multi-layered finishes with a semi-durable, soft matt sheen that adds elegance and depth to the final surface.
