The HV'ART Advanced Flow Additive (HVFLWAD 5%) is an optional leveling additive. When added at a concentration of no more than 5% it will improve the flow and workability of the coating, enabling a smoother finish without brush streaks or imperfections. HV'ART Advanced Flow Additive is a specialized additive that improves the performance of HV'ART paints and lacquers. By improving the flow, the additive allows the paint to level out more effectively, minimizing brush and roller marks and creating a smoother, more uniform surface. The extended wet edge is equally important; it slows down the paint’s drying time, giving you a longer working window. This is particularly beneficial when painting large areas or in warmer conditions, as it allows you to seamlessly blend new sections of paint with existing ones without creating visible lap lines or streaks. Areas of Use HV’ART Advanced Flow Additive is a general-purpose, high-viscosity additive crafted to give you greater control over your paint. It slows the drying time of all basecoats and topcoats, providing an extended working time that allows for a smoother, more professional finish. This ensures effortless application and improved flow when using a brush or roller on any project. Prep & Application Application Add HV’ART Advanced Flow Additive by blending very well manually or with a mechanical mixer. On application, the temperature of the product, the substrate, the coating and the working environment should never fall below 15°C. Product Type Mixing Ratio % HVFLWAD 2-5% Add the brush additive slowly. The quantity of product to be used must be decided after performing tests on the system and based on the user’s application. Mixing: Up to 5% by volume of HVFLWAD Additive to the coating material, mixed thoroughly for even distribution. For each liter of coating use up to 50ml of adhesion additive. There are two methods of mixing, Straight Mixing & the Dilution Method. See method instructions below. STRAIGHT MIXING: 5% of HVFLWAD Additive of the total volume of the coating material, mixed thoroughly for even distribution DILUTION MIXING METHOD: Measure additive needed (5% of coating) add to water and mix together thoroughly. Then add mixture to the HV’Art coating and mix thoroughly. Note: The dilution method will add 5-10% H20 to the selected coating, thus diluting the coating slightly. The dilution method is best to ensure a full and even mixing of the crosslinker/additive. If coating is already diluted then do dilute further.
