Rather than simply following the familiar architecture of the traditional rectangular watch, Piaget created its own interpretation. The Protocole’s geometric case is distinguished by its sharply cut corners, possibly recalling the octagonal outline of Paris’s Place Vendôme. Crafted in 18K yellow gold, its clean proportions provide the perfect frame for a dial completely pavé-set with diamonds. There are no numerals and no conventional hour markers. Only two slender gold hands interrupt the surface of diamonds, allowing the watch to reveal the time discreetly beneath the brilliance of the stones.
