Our hearty potato corn chowder soup is a simple, comforting meal at the end of a busy day. This chowder welcomes you home with a delicious taste of sweet corn, potatoes and a savory broth. Add three chopped slices of bacon for a smokey potato corn chowder! Either way, toss the ingredients of this bag into 8 cups cold water and bring to a boil; reduce heat, simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently, until potatoes and corn are tender, giving you time to garnish. When the chowder is ready, discard bay leaf, slowly stir in 1/2 cup cream, or low fat milk. Serve with chopped green onion and shredded cheese as a garnish. Add optional items of choice (chopped bacon, celery, small potato cubes). Stir. 2) Add 8 cups boiling water (or fill to 2/3 max line, add remaining water after cooking). Stir. 3) Press “Sauté” stirring soup until it starts to bubble. 4) Press “Cancel”, put the lid on, steam vent closed. 5) Press “Soup”, select 10 minutes. Use natural release or quick release. To cook clams if desired, add to soup using “Sauté” When bubbling stops, stir in cream if desired. Add water if too thick. So many options!
