This piece is inspired by one of my favourite childhood memories. We'd hop off the school bus, walk down the gravel driveway, and Mum would already have a fresh batch of jam and cream pikelets waiting in the kitchen. There was always plenty of Cottees strawberry jam, sticky fingers, and afternoon light pouring through the windows. It's a painting about the simple rituals that quietly become the memories we carry with us. Painted in my kitchen, for yours.
