Leger Stem Description Leger stems are a neat design of pike tackle made from 80lb coated seven-strand wire with an over-sized free-running swivel in the top and a proper cross-loc k swivel in the base, this is probably the strongest leger stem available and will certainly help present your baits when pike fishing weedy waters. To ensure maximum buoyancy, a 15mm Bait Popper is incorporated onto the stem to keep the line off the bottom, even when the rig has been tightened up.
