Pine tar has been used on skin since the 1800s. Physicians reached for it, barbers reached for it, and it sat in medicine cabinets for a century before commercial soap existed. Ours is rendered from slow-burned pine wood, dark and resinous, and it goes into the same castile base we have made from scratch since 2004. Designed for dry, itchy skin This bar is built for skin that most soap makes worse. No added fragrance. No essential oils. No colorant. Pine tar, RSPO-certified palm, coconut, and olive oil, and nothing else doing the work. Pine tar has long been used for eczema, psoriasis, and dry, flaking skin. Customers tell us it is the bar they come back to when nothing else has worked. What it smells like Earthy, faintly woody, quietly smoky. Real pine tar, not a pine fragrance. It is present in the shower and it does not follow you out of the bathroom. The glycerin stays in Saponification makes two things every time: soap and glycerin. Large manufacturers pull the glycerin back out and sell it into lotions, which is a perfectly good business. It is just not ours. 5.5 oz, 30 to 35 showers, about a quarter a shower.
