The pineapple cut design was naturally inspired by the delicious exotic fruit. Historically, from the 15th century, when the fruit first arrived in Europe, this type of ornament ap peared on crystal glasses, as well as on porcelain, furniture, and other elements of home decoration. At that time, only the wealthiest could afford to buy it, hence the pineapple, and associated decorated tableware, become symbols of affluence and the highest status. They will make a perfect gift if you wish to treat yourself or your loved ones to a touch of luxury.
