by Alicja Rys Artist’s Statement I am a self-taught artist, experimenting and using different techniques but mostly painting abstracts. Loving expressionism, modernism.I'm trying t o find my own unique way of "expressing" my emotions in the art; this may be why most of the subjects are often distorted or exaggerated. While painting, I went through different journeys. Sometimes it was a wonderful feeling of spiritual awareness, connecting with divine power and myself.
