Pinus strobus is a magnificent tree, most notably in the wintertime. Long soft needles in bundles of five. Large open pine cones. Fast-growing Eastern White Pines grow in a pyramid al shape when young, but tend to fork and grow irregular crowns when mature. Grow Pinus Strobus in acidic soils, of medium moisture, in full sun to part shade. Grows 50-80 feet tall with a 20-40 foot spread.
