The Pinwheel Galaxy is about twice as large as our own Milky Way, and located 21 million light years away. A bonus for this photo is the supernova that can be seen at about the 7 o 'clock position at the beginning of the long tendril pointing to the left. This supernova (SN 2023ixf) sprouted up in May 2023. This photo was taken in Berryville, Arkansas on May 28th, 2023. Show more
