Typically set up by the leg of a bed or near a doorway, when the individual moves past the sensor, the call bell will be activated. The PIR sensor will detect any movement within a 5 meter range. The PIR unit comes with a wall mounting bracket and screws. We strongly recommend using it powered by the plug pack (included) but if there is no power point nearby you may also power it with a 9-volt battery (included).
