London's tight-knit underground spawned the NorthSouth Records back in 2017 and though releases come slowly, they are of high quality. This year's second offering comes from Privu, a fast-rising hero from the Romanian scene with a stylish sound. Opener 'Altona' has a nice fat bassline and well-defined kick drums making for a fulsome groove, 'Amazonia' picks up the party with some silky percussion and spaced out pads, 'Time' is a twisted and playful cut with smeared pads and drums that pop right off, while 'Blandenur' closes with the most colourful synths and stabs of the lot. A characterful EP of stripped-back sounds for sure. Show more
