20% VAT applies to this product. Pistachio Paste loses its green colour when roasted, and passed through the pasting machine. Due to the speed of the blades it partially heats the original product giving it a slightly browner appearance. It still maintains a strong pistachio flavour however. This is a useful ingredient in confectionery. Combined with chocolate it is a winning combination or in cakes it will add a strong pistachio flavour without any alterations to texture.
