A proud Gamilaraay woman from north west NSW, Jodie currently resides on Darkinjung Country, with creativity deeply woven into her family lineage. Creativity runs deep in Jodie’s family with her great grandfather, grandfather and mother all sharing a love for artistic expression, from drawing to poetry. Her piece Ocean Bliss was created with fond memories in mind, inspired by time spent at the beach with her children - searching for shells, starfish and hidden creatures in rock pools and enjoying the simple magic of being together by the water. The artwork is a heartfelt celebration of family connection and time spent engaging with the natural world along the shoreline. Set against a bold electric blue backdrop, graceful sea turtles, drifting jellyfish and scattered starfish come to life in intricate dotwork detail.
