We have plaster walls at the Girls House, and they are just gorgeous. They come with their share of challenges though. I think every time we hang a picture (which is a lot), we can hear the 100 year old plaster crackling and falling within the walls. Im not thrilled about my crumbling house, but I do love the look and the romance of old plaster walls – showing off their longevity through a patina only time can award you. This canvas makes me feel like Im in an old apartment in Europe somewhere. I envision Im eating and drinking something delicious in this charming, tiny apartment, while the wind from the balcony carries in the sweet smell from the Clematis flowers below.
