When a ewe is experiencing a difficult birth, especially when the lamb's head is back, this lightweight, flexible lambing instrument can help to provide extra reach. The loop at th e top is designed to fit over the lamb’s head, whilst the fork-shape supports the animal’s chin. Once securely in place, you can use the Lambing Instrument to safely and gently draw the lamb out. There is no telling how difficult a birth is going to be until it's happening, and without the right support both the mother and its lamb will be at serious risk.
