This Araby collection platter is created with two layers of square pieces of glass. The bright summer colours used are Yellow, Orange, Turquoise, White and Lemongrass. This platter can be used for serving side salads, small appetisers, savouries, desserts or any of your other favourite treats. The platter measures approx. 12.5cm x 25cm, (5" x 10") Each platter is made from individually hand-cut pieces of glass that are layered on a single base piece of glass. The assembled glass pieces are then kiln-fused up to a temperature of 1450F to create a single piece of glass. Once cool, the piece is then placed on a mould and in the kiln for a second time up to a temperature of 1225F that softens the glass to the shape of the mould. The entire process can take up to 72 hours. This platter is made with decorative glass and does not contain lead. Do not place the platter in a microwave or a dishwasher as this will dull the glass, hand wash only with mild soap solution.
