A pair of knitting needles: I recommend starting with 7mm needles for the first scarf, but you can also use 6mm, 8mm, or 9mm depending on your preference. A thin crochet hook: 3mm or so. A mix of yarns from your stash—this is all about using what you already have! I recommend starting with at least 5 balls of yarn in the same thickness and in 5 different colours.
