Plectranthus venteri is a fast-growing, woody shrub from northeastern South Africa, notable for its intense aroma and surprising drought tolerance. The leaves are softly fuzzy and oak-shaped, releasing a sharp, citrusy scent with even the lightest handling. Small purple flowers appear intermittently through spring and summer, but the dwarf foliage densely covering its bonsai-ready branches is the main attraction.
