First, a band is knitted that runs down the center back from the neckline to the pleated edge. From here stitches har picked up and knitted, first for the left side and sleeve, then for the right side and the opposite sleeve. Along the lower edge, stitches are picked up and the pleated edge is worked back and forth from the top down to the desired length. Only the seams under the sleeves need to be sewn together.
