The PMC MB3 XBD-A is a 3-way ATL™ active reference monitor system designed to deliver precision, power, and extended low-frequency performance. Performance and Dynamics With its twin-cabinet configuration, the MB3 XBD-A incorporates a dedicated second enclosure housing a 12-inch Radial bass driver. This addition increases headroom by 3dB below the 380Hz bass crossover point, providing smoother low-frequency reproduction and enabling the system to drive larger rooms with confidence. The configuration achieves a maximum SPL of 129dB, making it suitable for critical monitoring environments where clarity and accuracy at high levels are essential. Flexibility in Installation The twin XBD cabinets can operate as freestanding units or be soffit-mounted. Engineers can position them vertically or side by side to suit room acoustics and layout, offering significant flexibility in studio integration. Optimised for Multi-Channel Applications A matching low-profile centre channel, the MB3 XBD-C-A, integrates seamlessly into multi-channel arrays. This ensures consistent tonal balance and dynamic range across immersive systems without requiring additional subwoofers, thanks to the wide frequency range of 20Hz to 25kHz. Power and Design Each channel delivers a total of 3225W of amplification, with 275W driving the high frequencies, 550W allocated to the midrange, and 2400W powering the low and extended low-frequency sections. The Advanced Transmission Line (ATL™) technology extends to an effective 2 x 3 metres, ensuring precise bass response with exceptional depth and control.
