In Pocket Rails, players draft Railroad Shares to add to their Portfolio and score points in the Rail Yard. Each player is given a hand of 8 cards, with each card featuring a city, company, and good (in a 4-player game, the hand is reduced to 6 cards). Each player chooses one card to display in their Portfolio (placed directly in front of them) and one card to display in the Rail Yard (center of the table).
