Brecht's timeless story, punctuated with songs and laced with dark humour, offers a bitter examination of a world where morality has no home. At its heart, is the beggar-masters Pe achum, who loses his daughter to the powerful seductive swindler Macheath, known as "Mac the Knife." When Peachum and his wife seek Macheath's downfall, revenge is far from sweet. This is a print of the National Theatre 2003 production poster for The Threepenny Opera.
