Description Hugh Cott, Marabou at Kaseny and Bull Crocodile on Territory, 20th century (reworked) From the collection of the Museum of Zoology. Hugh Bamford Cott (1900-1987) was a zoologist and scientific illustrator with particular expertise in the study of colouration and camouflage. Between 1938 and 1967 he held the position of Strickland Curator (Curator of Birds) at Cambridge University Museum of Zoology, researching and lecturing at the museum in between field trips to South America and Africa. Collections of Cott’s papers, photographs, writings, and drawings were generously donated to the museum by his grandchildren between 2015 and 2017. This vibrant print combines two of Cott's original illustrations to create a dynamic zoological scene.
