Podophyllum versipelle 'Spotty Dotty' is an unusual low-growing herbaceous perennial which is ideal as a filler beneath deciduous trees in shade. In spring, new growth of deeply lo bed umbrella like rounded foliage appears, marbled and spotted in chocolate maroon. In spring, it produces crimson, long-petalled flowers that hang below the foliage. This is a lovely contrast plant to have in the garden.
