The extra HP and damage output are real, but the three-Prize penalty means one bad knockout can end a game on the spot. That risk-reward tension has made Mega Evolution one of the most talked-about competitive formats since the ex mechanic launched — and it's made the set's special illustration rares some of the most sought-after pulls of the year for collectors. Single pack or full booster box? A single pack is the low-risk way to try your luck on the set or top up a collection without committing to a case. If you're chasing a specific Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, opening on stream, or drafting with friends, the Mega Evolution Booster Box Display (36 packs) brings the per-pack cost down considerably.
