This is New Zealand single malt with confidence and a clear sense of direction. Drawn from a single Moscatel cask, this release showcases Pōkeno’s rich, weighty spirit layered with aromatic sweetness and texture from the fortified wine influence. It is expressive, distinctive, and immediately engaging, offering something genuinely different without feeling experimental for the sake of it. What makes this bottle such a compelling buy is its balance. The Moscatel cask brings lifted fruit, gentle sweetness, and complexity, while the underlying malt remains front and centre, giving the whisky structure and depth. Bottled as a single cask, this is a limited release that rewards curiosity and delivers real character in every pour. Show more
