This soft cloth can remove tarnish from metal pen clips and cap bands. It also brings back the brilliance to Celluloid, Resin, and Hard Rubber pens. The red cloth (rouge cloth) con tains an extremely fine abrasive which will remove tarnish and grime. Note that since there is a fine abrasive in the red cloth, excessive overuse of this side on a nib can remove the plating. The yellow part of the cloth is for a final polish.
