Info What Does It Do? Take your parts to the next level with the Pryme Polishing Compounds! If you're going for a mirror finish on your metal part, these are the answer. Must be us ed with a polishing wheel. How Does It Work? These compounds are solid in form but melt onto your polishing wheel as it's spinning, providing a layer of compound to help bring a shine to your parts as you're buffing. They are blended with abrasives for great cutting and polishing action. Please refer to the chart on the "Specs" tab to determine which compounds are best for your application. Related Items:Click here to purchase the compound in a kit with wheelsPolishing wheels are available here Specs Specs Available in small and large sizes Small bars are 3.5oz in weight and 3.5" x 1" x 1" Large bars are 18oz in weight and 7.5" x 1.5" x 1.5" Sold individually or in packs to save you some cash! -Black compound is best used with a #1 Polishing Wheel for the first stage of polishing on steels and aluminum and other soft metals. -Green compound is great in combination with a #2 Polishing Wheel as the second stage of polishing on steels. -Brown compound is to be used with a #2 Polishing Wheel in the second stage of polishing for soft metals such as aluminum. -White compound works with a #3 Polishing Wheel on steels for the final stage of polishing. -Blue compound is best used in combination with a #3 Polishing Wheel on the last stage of polishing on soft metals such as aluminum. Keep in mind, if you are looking to polish to a full mirror finish, you will need to do all 3 steps of polishing wheels. You cannot go right to the final step and expect a full mirror shine. Also, if your part has existing scratches or a sand cast finish they will need to smoothed out with flap wheels. The flap wheel step can be skipped if your part does not have deep scratches or casting texture. Show more
