A palm-sized soy-wax fish shaped after myeongtae (명태), the Alaska pollack. The form comes from a long-standing Korean practice of hanging a dried pollack at the entryway as a house hold charm against misfortune, often given at housewarmings and tied to wishes for a peaceful home. hap replaces the dried fish with a cast soy-wax ornament: a small face drawn at the head, cotton thread wrapped around the middle. A small paper band around the thread carries the printed line '항상 좋은일만 가득하길' (may good things always fill your days). In six colors (Mint green, Pink, Vintage blue, Ivory, Gray, and Black). Suitable for hanging on a door handle, doorframe, or any small hook. hap describes the scent as 'the warmth of being tucked into a thick blanket'; it fades slowly over months of indoor exposure. The wax surface stays soft to the touch, and the painted features (face, side line, tail) can wear off with friction.
