Previously, our kits used a higher number of 2.5” Power Plugs. They were great plants, but we found that newcomers to gardening struggled with spacing, layout, installation and maintenance with such small starts. The 2026 kits now features larger 3.5" pots because they lead to higher success rates! Typically, bigger pots = quicker establishment, faster bloom time and a smoother experience for first‑time native gardeners without breaking the bank on gallon sizes you get at most conventional garden centers. Just like chef's choice in a restaurant, you ask the expert to curate the best selection for you. The plants in your kit will be based on current inventory, prioritizing a multi-season bloom range with a variety of leaf textures and complementary flower colors. Worried about design layout? Don’t be! We will label the plants in three categories: “Matrix”, “Seasonal Interest” and “Structural”.
