The Poly Effects Kanso. Gain, refined. The Kanso is a collaboration between Josh Smith and Poly Effects, designed around a simple idea: maximum tone with minimum complication. At its core, the Kanso delivers articulate, dynamic gain that responds directly to your touch. From clean boost to rich overdrive and into spitty, fuzzy territory when pushed hard, it covers a wide expressive range while staying clear and controlled.The entire experience revolves around Poly’s unique Fknob control system. The Fknob combines a footswitch, LED indicators, and a rotary control into one rugged, intuitive mechanism. It provides clear visual feedback and precise hands-on control without cluttering the pedal with multiple switches and knobs. Tap the Fknob to engage or bypass the pedal. Double tap to switch between adjusting Bias and Character. Hold the Fknob to change diodes. Each diode functions as its own preset and remembers your Bias and Character settings automatically. To store your settings, simply switch to another diode. All parameters are also fully controllable via MIDI. The result is a highly interactive drive pedal that feels alive under your fingers. Subtle adjustments reshape the feel and response of the circuit, from tight and articulate to loose, gritty, and harmonically rich. Minimal interface. Maximum expression.
