Product Overview The Poly Studio P5 webcam (76U43AA) is a 1080p professional USB webcam for desks, home offices, and hot-desking positions. It combines a 4 MP sensor capturing Full HD at 30 fps, an 80° field of view, 4x digital zoom, autofocus, and automatic low-light compensation, which is a meaningful step up from the fixed, noisy camera built into most business laptops. Because it presents as a standard USB video device, it works with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, and any other application that supports the USB/UVC standard — no driver package and no platform certification to check. A spare USB-A slot on the camera itself accepts a Poly wireless headset or speakerphone adapter, which frees a port on the laptop. Product Description Compatibility on a personal camera is mostly about the host, not the platform. The Studio P5 connects over USB-A 2.0 and is supported on Windows 8.1 and later and macOS 10.7 and later, and because it is a UVC device the video application does not need to certify it specifically. That makes it a straightforward standard for a fleet: one part number covers Teams desks, Zoom desks, and contractor machines running something else entirely. Poly Lens, the free desktop management app, handles firmware updates and per-device settings so an IT team can keep a large deployment consistent rather than tuning cameras one desk at a time. The optics are tuned for a seated person at desk distance. The 80° field of view frames one person cleanly without pulling in the whole room behind them, and 4x digital zoom with EPTZ lets a user crop the shot to their preference. Autofocus and automatic low-light compensation handle the two conditions that ruin most desk video — a user who leans in and out of frame, and a workspace lit from a window behind them. Audio comes from an integrated directional microphone with a 50 Hz to 16 kHz response, which keeps pickup on the speaker rather than on the open-plan floor around them. An integrated privacy shutter physically blocks the lens, a requirement that shows up regularly in government and regulated-industry procurement. Physically it is built to be deployed, not just unboxed. An adjustable monitor clamp fits displays of any size and gives the camera a full range of motion, and a tripod thread is available where a stand is preferred. For desks that need a phone-mounted camera instead, the Poly EagleEye Mini USB camera ships with a CCX 600 mounting kit. When a desk becomes a shared huddle space, the Poly Studio R30 USB 4K video bar and the Poly Studio USB 4K video bar add a wide-room camera, microphone array, and speakers in a single unit. Pairing the P5 with a Poly Sync 40 USB and Bluetooth speakerphone covers the audio side for users who need better far-end sound than a laptop can provide. Key Features 1080p Full HD Capture — A 4 MP sensor delivers 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps, a clear upgrade over the fixed camera in most business laptops. 80° Field of View — Frames a seated person at desk distance without pulling the surrounding open-plan floor into the shot. 4x Digital Zoom with EPTZ — Lets each user crop and position their own frame without moving the camera. Automatic Low-Light Compensation — Keeps the subject exposed correctly in a workspace lit from behind or under weak office lighting. Directional Microphone — A 50 Hz to 16 kHz integrated microphone focuses on the speaker rather than on ambient floor noise. Integrated Privacy Shutter — Physically blocks the lens, meeting a requirement common in government and regulated deployments. Spare USB-A Slot — Accepts a Poly wireless headset or speakerphone adapter so the laptop keeps its own ports free. Standard USB/UVC Device — Works with Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, and any application supporting the USB video class, with no driver install. Adjustable Monitor Clamp — Fits displays of any size with a full range of motion, and a tripod thread is available for stand mounting. Poly Lens Management — The free desktop app handles firmware updates and settings, keeping a large fleet consistent.
