Preset Library and Instant Playability The unit includes 350 pre-programmed rhythms and over 200 kits, allowing instant beat generation by simply tapping in a tempo and selecting a kit and rhythm. Users can quickly loop 16-step sequences or chain up to 16 patterns into a full song. With storage for up to 1000 songs and the ability to quickly duplicate, edit, and arrange patterns, Step is both a performance and composition powerhouse. Stomp-In Effects Engine Each pattern can include custom effects activated via the dedicated FX stomp-switch. Users can choose from over 50 assignable effects across 8 categories, including delays, loopers, rearrangers, and reverbs. These effects are ideal for transitions, breakdowns, or highlighting solo sections during live performance. The expression pedal input can control parameters like tempo or effect depth in real time. Seamless Integration and Sync Polyend Step provides stereo input/output, MIDI in and out, USB-C connectivity, microSD storage, and an expression pedal input, making it a central hub for studio or live setups. It syncs effortlessly with other MIDI gear and works interchangeably with patterns from Play and Play+, enabling bi-directional pattern exchange between hardware devices.
