A curious polygonatum that many, unfamiliar with the odd ducks of the genus, are unable to place as a Solomon Seal. Polygonatum hookeri stays under 6 in off the top of the soil and has open pale pink-purple flowers. Honestly, if you squint, it looks like a dwarf alpine daphne. In our summers with little to no rain, it prefers cool light shade with excellent drainage and regular moisture.
