This feeder has two access portals on opposing corners with clear plastic barriers that allow bees access to syrup but inhibits them from drowning. When used with the corrugated NU C divider, plastic barriers also allow the two 3 frame nucleus colonies to be fed at the same time without risking access to each other. Holds up to 1.5 gallons. Helpful hint: Some beekeepers have enhanced the performance of this feeder by scratching the inside of the clear plastic barrier (with 80 grit sandpaper or a capping scratcher) to give the bees an extra “grip” while feeding.
