Always apply a small test area (on a hidden spot or scrap) using your full product stack — stain or paint followed by Polyvine — before coating the entire project. This confirms compatibility between layers; you are not just testing Polyvine, but the interaction of all materials used in the project. Caution: If any base product contains oil or wax (including many products with “oil” or “wax” in the name), allow adequate time for full cure before applying a water-based finish. Follow the other manufacturer’s cure-time guidance, then allow additional buffer time within your test period.
