It is believed that it is originated from Malaysia. Later it was introduced all around the world and was planted in many different parts of the continent. Flavours & Texture Pomelo tastes like grapefruit but they have a more delicate, floral taste than grapefruits. In general, it is not particularly sweet or tart. In terms of their texture, pomelos have edible segments that are separated by thick and hard membranes. These membranes tend to be very bitter, so they need to be avoided. Preparation Peel off the rind and then remove the membranes in the same way that you would an orange. You can also cut it into quarters or eighths and eat it with a spoon, just like a grapefruit.
