With no restriction in use, Poplar Buds absolute can be used in a similar way to styrax but in far greater amounts. It is a wonderful fixative and has the most alluring and unusual scent of honey, fruit and resin making it perfect for adding body and longevity to fruit bases and accords; indeed Edmond Roudnitska used this in his most famous Prunol SP base. Poplar Bud Absolute is diluted to 50% in natural triethyl citrate (an odourless isolate from citrus) at the source by Biolandes.
