DESCRIPTION Acrylic, Plaster, Ceramic Tile, White Frame - Made in Portugal | 2021 Inspired by the colorful walls and patterns of Portugal, where Sara Marlowe Hall spent a summer in residency, this new series marks an evolution in the artist’s oeuvre. While in residency at PADA in Barreiro, Lisbon, Hall was inspired by a box of discarded tiles and began creating her own tile-like works. The resulting series is rendered in the muted color palette that surrounded the artist during her residency and serves as tactile memories of her time spent in Portugal.
