The pot holder is handmade in Estonia Upper side: 100% polyester The other side is a 50/50 blend of cotton and polyester Wash at 40 degrees Size: 20 x 20 cm The price of 45€ includ es one pot holder The idea for this painting came from my own life; it is my allegorical self-portrait. The kitchen is the epicentre of my home. It’s a place where I spend most of my time. Whether it is caring for my small child, cooking, or doing other chores, everything happens in the kitchen. I also paint in the kitchen. Additionally, there is a hint of influence from Richard Hamilton, from his (1956) collage “Just what is it that makes today’s homes so different, so appealing?” I tried to capture the satire of my “well” organised everyday life, the parodical stretch of the overwhelming illusion – always trying to be everything to everybody and nothing less.
