We agree, Blue Lug agrees, you can agree that Nitto makes the best bike components. Period. VAN STEM is the BLUE LUG exclusive duralumin ATB stem. They revived the duralumin ATB st em, which used to exist, for modern bikes. The original one was designed in 1971 and called "MX-2". From Blue Lug's designer Tani: Box-shaped, short-length and top-loading. It has an iconic cute design. PAUL has a stem called "boxcar", so we call this stem "van" like a Japanese commercial vehicle. We made it 60mm long and made it different from the original. (PAUL doesn't have 60mm.) Clamp diameter is 25.4mm which is rare for this kind of short stems. With handlebar shims, you can use it with 22.2mm bars. It clamps a bar nice and tight, so it's great for wide riser bars and swept-back bars. Suitable for hard riding.
