Guided by the Headmaster, players have mastered handling volatile ingredients to concoct fantastical potions. In Potion Explosion 2nd Edition, players embody students aiming to pass their year-end final exam. They craft potions by extracting marbles from a new plastic dispenser, symbolizing ingredients for various potion recipes. When a marble is removed, the remaining ones slide down the ramp. If two marbles of the same color touch, an explosion occurs, allowing the player to collect those marbles as well. More explosions lead to more marbles and quicker potion-making, with each completed potion granting a unique ability when consumed. The player with the most points at the game's conclusion is named head of the class and graduates with the highest honors. As the bell rings, students find their seats at the Horribilorum Sorcery Academy for Witty Witches and Wizards. Returning students notice the venerable buildings have been upgraded since last term.
