Potter's Pink~Shell~ Greenleaf & Blueberry Artisanal Handmade Watercolors Color Name: Potter's PinkPigment: Potter's Pink, Chrome Tin PinkColor Index No.: PR233 Description: A cool , deep, earthy pink with a wide value range and moderate tinting strength. Potter's pink was developed by a ceramicist in the late 1700s. This pigment is also known as Pinkcolor, the name given to it by Windsor & Newton when they introduced it as a watercolor in the 1800s. For our Shell Pans, we use natural seashells, nature's answer to the pan. They are lightweight and durable, though have a greater chance of chipping if used roughly.Our Shells, being a product of nature, vary in size, but usually measure between 1.5-1.75cm Our Shells are roughly equivalent to 1/5th of a Half-Pan. Shells are a traditional and historical method of storing color. Cave artists and medieval manuscript illuminators alike chose to store their paints in shells. Our Shells are small enough to help even the most extreme minimalist justify carrying along a dab of color. Another reason that we developed this option is as a way for you to sample our more rare and expensive colors in a more affordable format.
