Complete Performance Power Series Complete Turbo Kit | 1994.5–1997 7.3L Powerstroke The Complete Performance Power Series Turbo Kit gives you a complete stock-location turbo upgrade for the 1994.5–1997 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke. Instead of piecing together a turbo, pedestal, outlet, up-pipes, collector, gaskets and hardware separately, this package puts the major components together in one kit. Built around the KC Turbos 300x journal-bearing turbo, the Power Series is available in Stage 1 and Stage 2 configurations to cover everything from stock-injector daily drivers and tow rigs to trucks running larger injectors. Whether you're replacing a worn factory turbo, dealing with leaking factory up-pipes, eliminating the factory EBPV setup, or building the truck for more power, this kit gives you a complete package designed specifically around the OBS 7.3L. CHOOSE YOUR TURBO Stage 1 – 63/70 Recommended for stock injectors through 180/30s. The Stage 1 is our choice for most street-driven OBS trucks. It's a good fit for daily drivers, tow rigs and mild performance builds where response and drivability are important. Best suited for: Stock injectors Mild injector upgrades Injectors up to 180/30 Daily-driven trucks Towing Street performance Stage 2 – 63/73 Recommended for 180/30 through 205/30 injectors. The Stage 2 uses the larger turbine configuration for trucks that need additional turbine capacity as injector size and power increase. Best suited for: 180/30 injectors 205/30 injectors Modified 7.3L engines Higher horsepower builds Trucks being built around future performance upgrades Not sure which one you need? Contact us with your injector size and how you use the truck and we'll help you choose the correct setup. WHAT'S INCLUDED The Power Series is more than just a replacement turbo. Your kit includes: KC Turbos 300x Turbocharger Non-EBV Turbo Pedestal Non-EBV Outlet Bellowed Up-Pipes Up-Pipe Collector Required Gaskets Installation Hardware Intake boot where applicable Everything is designed around the stock-location OBS 7.3L turbo configuration, eliminating the need to piece the major components together individually. WHY REPLACE THE COMPLETE TURBO SYSTEM? If you're already pulling the factory turbo out of an OBS 7.3L, it makes sense to address the common problem areas while you're there. The Power Series package replaces or upgrades several major components at the same time. Factory Up-Pipes Leaking factory up-pipes are common on older 7.3L trucks. Exhaust leaks before the turbo can hurt turbo response and overall performance. The included bellowed up-pipes are designed to eliminate the factory-style connection and provide a better long-term solution. Factory EBPV The Power Series includes a non-EBV pedestal and outlet, eliminating the factory exhaust back-pressure valve hardware from the turbo setup. Factory Turbo The KC 300x replaces the factory turbo with a configuration designed to support increased airflow and common 7.3L performance combinations while retaining the stock-location layout. Instead of fixing one piece and leaving the rest of the original turbo system in place, this package allows you to address the system while it's already apart. STOCK-LOCATION INSTALLATION One of the biggest advantages of the Power Series is that you can upgrade the turbo system without converting the truck to a completely different turbo mounting system. The kit retains a stock-location style configuration, making it a good option for owners who want increased performance without moving to a full T4-style setup. This also makes it easier to retain other components designed around the factory turbo location. INTERCOOLER COMPATIBILITY The Power Series Turbo Kit can be used with applicable stock-location intercooler configurations. If your truck has an aftermarket intercooler setup, modified intake piping or other non-factory engine components, verify compatibility before ordering. If you're unsure, contact us before ordering and send us the details of your current setup. INSTALLATION Difficulty: Advanced Although this is a stock-location/drop-in style turbo package, replacing the turbo and up-pipes on an OBS 7.3L is still a fairly involved job. Access to the turbo, pedestal and factory up-pipe hardware can be tight, particularly on older trucks where the original exhaust hardware has been in place for years. We recommend installation by an experienced DIYer or professional technician. A stock-location kit means the system is designed around the original turbo location. It does not mean installation is a quick bolt-on job. BUILD THE SYSTEM WHILE YOU'RE THERE A turbo upgrade is a good time to address the supporting components on your 7.3L. Depending on your truck and intended use, consider adding: TuningProper tuning allows you to take advantage of the additional airflow and match the engine calibration to your injector and turbo combination. Fuel SystemTrucks running upgraded injectors may benefit from additional fuel-system capacity. EGT / Boost MonitoringMonitoring exhaust gas temperature and boost is especially useful on modified trucks and trucks used for towing. Downpipe / ExhaustReducing exhaust restriction behind the turbo can complement the upgraded turbo system. IntercoolerFor trucks being built for towing or increased power, an intercooler can help manage intake-air temperature. WHICH TURBO SYSTEM IS RIGHT FOR MY TRUCK? Stock Injectors / Daily Driver Power Series Stage 1 A solid choice when replacing the factory turbo or upgrading a mostly stock truck. Mild Performance / Towing Power Series Stage 1 Works well with common mild injector combinations through 180/30. 180/30–205/30 Injectors Power Series Stage 2 The larger turbine configuration is better suited for the additional exhaust flow associated with these injector combinations. Larger Injector / Higher-Horsepower Build Contact us with your injector size, horsepower goal and how you use the truck and we'll help you determine which direction makes the most sense. FITMENT 1994.5–1997 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Fits applicable: 1994.5–1996 Ford F-250 1994.5–1997 Ford F-350 1994.5–1997 Ford F-Super Duty Designed specifically around the OBS Ford 7.3L Powerstroke turbo configuration. This kit is not intended for the earlier 7.3L IDI diesel. Verify your engine, injector configuration and existing modifications before ordering. BEFORE YOU ORDER Know the following about your truck: 1. What injectors are you running? This is the biggest factor when choosing between Stage 1 and Stage 2. 2. Is the truck intercooled? Let us know what intercooler system you're using if the truck has been converted. 3. What is the truck used for? Daily driving, towing and performance builds can have different requirements. 4. What other modifications does the truck have? Injectors, tuning, intake, exhaust, intercooler and fuel-system modifications can all affect the best turbo combination. If you're unsure, contact Complete Performance before ordering. We'd rather help you put together the right combination the first time.
